NHL Insider Reveals What the Maple Leafs Told Young Player
Nick Robertson has dealt with numerous injuries over the last few seasons. And while hasn't reached the level of his brother Jason in the NHL, he is still a highly skilled prospect.
The Maple Leafs decided to start him in the AHL this year, where he scored three goals and six points in four games so far. He is currently tied with Logan Shaw for the team lead in scoring.
Maple Leafs want a reason to call him up
According to Friedman, the Maple Leafs are just waiting for an excuse to call him up to the NHL.
They told him, you're gonna have to give us a reason. There's gonna be opportunity down the line for you to come up. You just have to give us a reason.
It is likely that Robertson will find himself in the Maple Leafs' lineup sooner or later.
