Brad Treliving's Subtle Dig at William Nylander's Contract Talks

With September just around the corner, the chatter surrounding William Nylander's contract extension with the Maple Leafs is reaching new levels. He may have a year left on his current deal, but fans are eager to see this saga resolved sooner than later. The last thing they want is a lingering contract issue becoming a disctration over the team's training camp.

Recently, Nylander spoke up about the situation in an interview, hinting that he's in no hurry to put pen to paper.

Only a few of days after Nylander's interview, Treliving, not one to mince his words, threw a bit of shade in Nylander's direction.

As discussions shifted to Treliving's successful contract negotiation with Auston Matthews, he didn't hold back his feelings. When asked about how the Matthews deal went down, his response concerned Nylander as well.
