There's a major update in the case involving Val Nichushkin and the mysterious woman discovered in his hotel room. During this year's playoffs when the Avs and Kraken were facing off, Nichushkin abruptly left the Avalanche for personal reasons and did not make a comeback. We now know that an intoxicated woman was found in his hotel room, and there are additional details to share.
Recently, the police made public some footage captured by a body camera, which shows Avalanche team physician Brad Changstrom providing information to the authorities about the woman in Nichushkin's hotel room.
"We were attempting to get her out of the room, and it was very evident that she was heavily intoxicated. It was crystal clear that I couldn't arrange for her to take an Uber due to concerns for her safety." - Changstrom
From Changstrom's account, it is evident that the woman discovered in Nichushkin's hotel room was severely intoxicated, rendering her unable to stand up for herself or protect herself.
Furthermore, the woman even made an attempt to leap off a hospital gurney and insisted that she was a student at the University of Arizona. Whether or not the woman actually is a student at the university, or was just so intoxicated that she was telling lies, is unknown.
Rest assured, we will keep you informed as soon as further details emerge.
