There is a lot that goes into promoting the NHL, especially big events like the Winter Classic. However, with all the moving parts comes some risk that things are announced to soon.

That appears to be what happened for the Seattle Kraken and their Winter Classic matchup versus the VEgas Golden Knights. It appears that some members of the Utah Jazz were sent Kraken winter classic jerseys, and they wore them to their game prior to the jerseys being announced.

Kraken Taking Part in Winter Classic Tradition of Heritage

Despite the Seattle Kraken being a new team in the NHL, they are seemingly taking part in the tradition of celebrating the team's history. The above-leaked jerseys are reminiscent of the Seattle Metropolitans, the Stanley Cup Champions in 1917.
