Leafs Might Get a Local Star to Fill Bunting's Spot

The Toronto Maple Leafs are looking for a new player to fill the Michael Bunting-shaped hole in their lineup.

The Philadelphia Flyers have made significant changes in the last month and it doesn't look like they're done. No player is safe in the organization. Carter Hart or Travis Konecny, their best players, might leave.

Konecny to the Maple Leafs?

A trade proposal emerged recently that we thought was worth mentioning.

In the trade, the Flyers would get the 28th pick in this year's draft, a 5th-round pick this year, and a third-round pick next year alongside Calle Jarnkrok and Nick Robertson.

Robertson was picked in the 2nd round in 2019. He has done very well in the AHL, but he gets hurt a lot. If he can stay healthy, he could be better than his brother, Jason.

Jarnkrok did well last season with 39 points. He would be good on any team. He could take Konecny's place for a while and help the younger players on the team.

Konecny had a great last season, with 31 goals and 61 points in 60 games.

This trade would benefit both teams. If this one doesn't happen, it wouldn't be surprising to see Konecny traded to the Leafs.
