The Ottawa Senators have signed forward Nick Cousins to a 1 year deal worth $800,000.
Cousins, 31, is widely regarded as one of the dirtiest players in the NHL, and is hated around the league by anyone who doesn't cheer for the team he currently plays for.
This will be Cousins' 7th NHL team, as he previously played for the Montreal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers, Arizona Coyotes, Nashville Predators, Vegas Golden Knights, and most recently with the Florida Panthers, where he won the Stanley Cup.

For the Senators, this move shores up the bottom six, as Nick Cousins is definitely not known for his point production, but is solid defensively, and despite being incredibly dirty, is a physical force.
Cousins was regularly scratched during the Panthers playoff run last year, and also saw his point production dip from previous years, but perhaps playing for a worse team in Ottawa will give the 31 year old some more opportunities to show what he can do offensively, he just needs to find a way to keep the cheap shots to a minimum.
Regardless of what you many think of Cousins, he has won a Stanley Cup and will a great veteran presence for a very young Senators locker room.
