The Ottawa Senators family is set to get a little bit bigger this year after team captain Brady Tkachuk just announced that he and his wife are expecting a baby boy this September.

Tkachuk Family To Add Newest Member Later This Year

The Senators captain made the announcement on Instagram this morning. The news made its way around hockey circles throughout the day as senators fans celebrated the news with their favorite team.
Congratulation to the young couple !

@Senators Captain, Brady Tkachuk married his longtime girlfriend Emma Farinacci in July 2023, and they've now just announced on Instagram that they're expecting a child for September 24th.

Tkachuk continues to be a vital part of this Senators team as he lead the team in goals with 31 and is second in points, only behind Tim Stutzle. He has been particularly hot lately with 5 points in his last three games, including a hat trick against the New York Islanders.
While Senators fans will enjoy these small victories and special moments for the team, they will ultimately be disappointed as the team will miss the playoffs once again this year.

Senators Continue Rebuild After Disappointing Season

Many around the hockey world expected the Senators to take a step forward this year. However, the season was derailed once again thanks to bad goaltending as well as some prominent off-ice issues. Among them was Shane Pinto's 41-game suspension for violating the NHL's gambling policy. These problems ultimately lead the team to be sellers at the trade deadline once again. Their biggest move came when they traded Vladimir Tarasenko to the Panthers in exchange for draft picks.
Hopefully, Tkachuk and the rest of the Senators are reinvigorated after this offseason as they look to finally end their seven-year playoff drought.
