In just five games, Matt Rempe has become one of the most talked about names in the NHL, but it's clearly not been good for his health, as a recent photo has emerged of him that has fans clearly worried.
Matt Rempe's fighting habits have fans worried
While Rempe's fighting skills have found him a place in the NHL, it may just be too much, too soon for the 21-year old, as this photo at practice shows the disturbing injuries to his face.
Call me soft all you want, but a 21-year-old kid looking like this after a total of 15 minutes of ice time should not be allowed.
His brain isn't even close to fully developed. CTE is no joke.
Must read on Daily Hockey Dose
While all of that bruising will no doubt go down if he can refrain from fighting in the next few days, it's still not a great look for the 21-year old, especially with what we now know about the effects of CTE.
In those five games, Rempe has contributed a goal and an assist to the Rangers, and with his size and speed he can impact games in many different ways, so we hope that there's some veteran in the locker room or the coaching staff that advise him to slow it down on the fighting now that he's made a name for himself.
