"Before we wrap up, worth a little mentioning as well. We talked about the Global Series a couple of weeks ago. We should also mention that the Montreal Canadiens are poised to go to Paris, by the looks of things, in 2025. So not this coming year, the following year in October of 2025.
It looks like the Canadiens and the NHL are still working on things to get the Habs over there in Paris in '25 and I believe that Stockholm will be the other host at that point. So we'll see."
The last time the Montreal Canadiens played in France, it was in 1939. They completed a nine-game tour against the Detroit Red Wings. They returned overseas in 1992, when they played two games in London against the Blackhawks.
Earlier in the season, the Red Wings, Senators, Maple Leafs and Wild flew to Stockholm to take part in the NHL's Global Series.
