The biggest (legal) hit of the playoffs thus far took place mere minutes before the series' final buzzer. Timo Meier, the player on the receiving end of the hit, displayed nothing but respect for Rangers captain Jacob Trouba during the subsequent handshake line.
It would be understandable if there were some hesitance following a hit to the head just 13 minutes before the handshake line. However, Timo Meier and Jacob Trouba shared a heartfelt hug, with Meier wishing Trouba a great vacation.
The display of respect between the two players is truly incredible. Evidently, Meier is not too shaken up, as the Devils will need him in round 2 of the playoffs.
