Alexis Lafreniere and the New York Rangers have come to an agreement on his new contract and he will stick around in New York a bit longer.

It was just announced that the New York Rangers have signed Alexis Lafreniere to his new contract.

Lafreniere signed for 2 years at $2.325 AAV, Post has learned.
Lafreniere has yet to impress at the NHL level with his career-high being only 39 points but he is going to look to impress over the next few years in an elevated role in New York.
The Rangers will be hoping he emerges as the star they hoped they drafted when they selected him 1st overall back in 2020.
