It looks like the Carolina Hurricanes are about to lose defenseman Brett Pesce to their division rivals, the New Jersey Devils, according to multiple reports.

This upcoming week is going to be a whirlwind for the hockey world. Last night's Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final was epic and just four days later, the NHL draft will be in full swing, and then, on July 1st, the NHL free agency period opens.
Hearing Brett Pesce is likely to end up with the New Jersey Devils 👀
Some rumours swirling around Brett Pesce potentially signing with NJ in free agency... two-way top-four righty who defends the rush well, kills penalties, and shuts down passing lanes.
Reports today are buzzing about Brett Pesce, with many saying the Carolina defenseman is set to sign with the New Jersey Devils on July 1.
100% sounds like Brett Pesce will be a #NJDevils  defenseman on July 1.

Notably, his contract is projected at 6 years @ 5.5 million as per @EvolvingHockey.

Also have to anticipate this means John Marino will be traded soon.
We'll have to wait a week to see if these reports pan out, but it seems likely that the long-time Hurricanes blueliner will be moving to New Jersey.
