Habs Place Defender On Waivers For Buyout
The Montreal Canadiens have placed Defenseman Nicolas Beaudin on waivers for the purpose of a contract termination, the Canadiens announced.

The decision was by mutual agreement, with Beaudin expected to seek other professional opportunities after a lack of ice time with Montreal's AHL affiliate Laval. Where Beaudin is looking to sign is unknown, or if he will stay in North America or make a professional move to Europe.
Beaudin, 24, was a first round pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, 27th Overall, traded to Montreal in 2022, Beaudin cleared waivers before the start of the season, spending the year with Laval, with 6 points in 16 games for the Rocket.
Beaudin has 22 Career NHL games, all with Chicago, with 2 Goals and 6 Points. Beaudoin won gold internationally with Canada in 2021 at the World Championship.
