During last night's Leafs game versus the Winnipeg Jets, a goal was taken away from Toronto. Kevin Bieksa wasn't shy about calling out the NHL for the result.
Tyler Bertuzzi Has Goal Take Away For Goaltender Interference
Tyler Bertuzzi returned to the Leafs lineup after the birth of his son to play the red-hot Winnipeg Jets in the second game of their home-and-home. Bertuzzi has been snakebitten all season, with terrible luck finishing the puck, and last night was no different.
Bertuzzi finished a rebound, however, the goal was quickly taken away for goaltender interference. The ruling was that William Nylander interfered with Connor Hellebuyck, but the video shows he was clearly pushed by Jets defenseman Dylan DeMelo.

The call was challenged by the Leafs, as they believed that Nylander was pushed, and they thought they had a clear case for overturning. However, after review, the call stood.
Kevin Bieksa Calls Out NHL For Wrong Call During Game
During intermission, Kevin Bieksa and Kelly Hrudy of the Sportsnet Panel didn't hold back on their thoughts on the play. They both believed that the NHL got the call wrong and that Nylander was clearly pushed into Hellebuyck.
Here is what they had to say.
"It's the wrong call in my opinion," said Hrudey matter of factly. "I thought that DeMelo clearly pushed Nylander into Hellebuyck and so I think this is a goal that should count. I'm kind of surprised in fact."
"Clearly he was pushed after and that's where the contact originated... I'm confused about this as well Kel," said Bieksa in response to the rant from his co-host. "I was confident there for Toronto," said Bieksa. "I thought it would be reversed."
