Today a new report from an insider has revealed that the Edmonton Oilers are preparing to lose forward Adam Henrique in free agency.

After Ken Holland and the Edmonton Oilers acquired Adam Henrique at the NHL Trade Deadline many wondered if they would extend him. Adam Henrique fit in well in the bottom-six and provided veteran leadership worthy of sticking around. However, today a report from David Pagnotta indicates that he is expected to leave Edmonton.
David Pagnotta: Adam Henrique is expected to hit free agency and after his playoff performance, his value has certainly been given a solid boost. He's unlikely to re-sign with the Oilers and will attractive plenty of interest July 1.
Adam Henrique is not re-signing with the Edmonton Oilers and will hit free agency on July 1st. Per, David Pagnotta.

It sounds as though Adam Henrique's performance throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs and Stanley Cup Finals boosted his value quite a bit.

Oilers will need to completely reshape their bottom-six in free agency

Now the Edmonton Oilers likely will have to move on to other options to fill out their bottom six. Another source has also confirmed the Oilers could lose Warren Foegele as well.
Multiple sources have been stating that both Adam Henrique & Warren Foegele will test free agency on July 1st. I'm hearing the same. #LetsGoOilers

Things can change at any time, but it seems they're both bound for new teams.
This means with limited salary cap space the Edmonton Oilers will need significant changes to their bottom-six. One has to wonder if they will begin to use some of their prospects like Xavier Bourgault or Raphael Lavoie to fill these types of roles.
As free agency approaches on Monday all of these questions and more will be answered.
