Oilers Make History With Most Recent Signing
The oilers made history yesterday when they signed Dani Rylan Kearney as a scout. Kearny is the first female scout in team history. The team made the announcement on X.
Kearny played NCAA hockey with Northeastern University before founding and serving as the commissioner of the National Women's Hockey League. (NWHL) The league eventually served as one half of a merger, forming the new Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) which is in its inaugural season.
The oilers have high expectations this season as they look to bring a Stanley Cup to Canada for the first time in over 30 years. Kearny could have an impact on future Oilers team as she looks for hidden gems for the team to draft.
