Bedard Smashes Stick After Poor Powerplay by the Blackhawks

Things were not going well for the Chicago Blackhawks last night against the Detroit Red Wings. They dropped the game 5-1, after the Blackhawks just couldn't get anything going all night.

This was especially noticeable on the powerplay, after which Connor Bedard showed his frustration in the night. After a scoreless powerplay, Bedard smashed his stick in half against the boards in frustration.

Bedard Known For His Competitiveness and Showing Emotion Isn't All Bad

The sign of frustration isn't the worst thing if you are a Blackhawks fan. Bedard is known for his competitive drive, which is likely the reason he is in the NHL in the first place. A little outburst here and there really does no more than show how much he cares about the Blackhawks succeeding.

Bedard will have to learn to make sure these emotions don't get the best of him, but for now, it seems as though they are just fueling his competitive fire.
