Blackhawks Sign Key Forward To New Deal



The Chicago Blackhawks have signed forward Nick Foligno to a two-year, $9M contract extension, according to multiple reports.





Foligno, 36, has 8 Goals, 9 Assists & 17 Points in 39 Games for the Blackhawks this season. Foligno was signed to a one-year, $4M contract in the offseason, named an Assistant Captain for this season. Prior, Foligno played 2 seasons for the Bruins.

Foligno has played 17 NHL seasons since being drafted by the Ottawa Senators 28th Overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, playing with the Senators, Blue Jackets, Maple Leafs, Bruins & Blackhawks.

In 1,120 career NHL games, Foligno has a total of 223 Goals, 319 Assists & 542 Points. Foligno was an NHL All-Star in 2015 with Columbus in a career high 73 point campaign, and won the King Clancy Trophy for leadership on-and-off the ice in 2017.
