The Carolina Hurricanes have been struggling to find a solid foundation of backup goaltenders, ever since Frederik Andersen went out with injury. Now, however, it appears they have signed Aaron Dell to a PTO.

Dell has played 3 games with the struggling San Jose Sharks this season, recording a 2.71 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage. We will see if the Hurricanes decide to give him any time in the net before the return of their main starter in Frederik Andersen
