It seems like Sunday, December 17th, is becoming a gloomy day for hockey players. At the age of 21, Brady Grasdal, a former Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League player, tragically passed away.
Former leagues and teams weigh in on the tragedy
Grasdal's former team, the Nipawin Hawks, took to twitter to post a remorseful message about the former player.

Grasdal was born and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
In the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, he spent two seasons with the Portage Terriers through 2020 and 2022. The league issued a declaration of sympathy.
Information sources and a mournful Sunday evening
Unverified reports, likely more clickbait than fact, have appeared on certain "news websites" asserting that this tragic event happened in the Dominican Republic, that alcohol was involved, and that it was self-inflicted. These publishers are often not reliable, and information cannot be considered to be accurate, as a disclaimer on the websites read:
"[This site] does not make any warranties about the completeness, reliability and accuracy of this information."
It is preferable to disregard these rumours and hold off on acting upon any solid information that does surface. It can also be wise to respect the family's privacy at this moment.
We send our sincere condolences and prayers to his friends and family in this difficult time.
