All has been quiet on the Calgary Flames front as of late, but with many UFA's for next summer left on the roster, it's only a matter of time until we see some major movement.

Trade incoming?

According to Hockey Buzz's Eklund, a deal between Calgary and Nashville is coming together surrounding star defenseman Noah Hanifin, with a move potentially incoming very soon.

It's not clear yet who would be involved in the trade, but given recent speculation, it's expected to look something like this.
Calgary receive: Dante Fabbro, 2025 first-round pick, futures.

Nashville receive: Noah Hanifin.

A star on the rise

Despite being just 26-years of age, Hanifin has 598 games of NHL experience under his belt, and after telling Calgary he's not re-signing, likely due to his desire to be in the US, this is a move that makes sense.
The past two seasons have been the best in the career of Hanifin, tallying 48 and 38 points over that time, and with 162/164 games played, it's clear he's only going to get better, so this move could make great sense for both parties.
