Max Pacioretty missed most of last season with back to back Achilles tears and it seems like he has a ways to go till he's healthy.

Terrible Pacioretty Update

Back last Janurary, Max Pacioretty reinjured his Achilles sidelining him for the rest of the season and limiting him to only five games.

Earlier this offseason, he signed with the Washington Capitals with the anticipation of joining them when the season starts this October, however, he is not looking ready for it per Capitals Head Coach Spencer Carbery.

"I'm not sure of the exact timeline," admitted Carbery as per NHL.com "I don't think he'll be ready for the start of the regular season. But whether it's in the November timeframe or December, whenever he's healthy and ready to go, I think it gives us a great asset in Max to be able to, partway into the season, potentially give us a real jolt offensively in our top six, someone who can help us on the power play, someone who has proven time and time again that they can find ways to score, which is something that is coveted around the League."

Carbery has confirmed that Pacioretty will miss at least the first month of the NHL season and it could potentially be longer. However, if the Capitals and Pacioretty wait longer till he is 100% back to health, they will not risk any reinjury which is the number one priority.

As seen on HockeyFeed - Capitals share disappointing update on Pacioretty.
