A top Calgary Flames prospect has taken a leave of absence from hockey following some significant criminal charges.
Ronni Faces Serious Charges
In a turn nobody saw coming, the Calgary Flames prospect Topi Ronni has stepped away from his LIIGA team following some serious charges.
Tappara announces that Topi Rönni (CGY) is facing criminal charges. He'll be withdrawing from team activities until further notice:
Ronni was the 59th pick in the 2022 draft. He has played in the top Finnish league for a bit now and has also represented Finland on the international stage.
It is unknown what will come of these charges which are for an incident that happened two years ago but one thing that is for certain is that it will put Ronni's life on hold till it is resolved with a guilty or innocent verdict.
