Breaking: Sharks Place Intriguing Forward on Waivers
San Jose Sharks Make Unexpected Move with Forward.
It's been reported that the Sharks put Kevin Labanc on the waiver list on Thursday afternoon.
The 27 years old still has a year remaining on his contract which stands at an AAV of $4.725 million.
Labanc has yet to play a game this season. He's been healthy-scratched for the first three outings of his team.
Per Frank Seravalli:
"Sources say #sjsharks will be placing forward Kevin Labanc on waivers today.
Labanc has been a healthy scratch for all three of San Jose's games to start the year. He's in the final year of his deal at $4.725 million and has averaged 0.5 ppg over 432 career GP."
Throughout his NHL career spanning 432 games, Labanc scored 216 points, including 80 goals.
MAJOR TURNAROUND
After informing Labanc's camp that he'll be placed on waivers today, #sjsharks have reversed course and Labanc is now expected to make his season debut tonight.
