On Friday, news broke that the case against Milan Lucic was officially dismissed, and with it came the questions of when will the veteran forward return to the Boston Bruins and the NHL?
Boston Bruins make a statement on Milan Lucic
Now, the team has officially spoken out with a statement, making it clear that in 2023-24, we won't see the veteran forward on the ice again.
«Milan Lucic will remain on indefinite leave from the organization for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. The Boston Bruins organization supports Milan and his family as he continues his personal rehabilitation.»
As that post points out, Lucic is on a one-year deal with the Bruins, so this is a major hit to his future in the NHL, and at 35-years of age, his future remains just as much of a mystery as it was before today.
