Cassidy Joins The Cam & Strick Podcast

Stanley Cup winning coach of the Vegas Golden Knights Bruce Cassidy recently joined the Cam & Strick Podcast. Among the things they talked about is the Boston Bruins open captaincy as Cassidy was previously their coach.

Cassidy Says Marchand Would Be Good Choice As Captain

When asked about Marchand as a potential captain Cassidy said the following:
I do not think that many guys are the perfect mix of anything. I think Bergeron was good at that he led by example. Off ice, he made sure everyone was welcomed.

He also went on to say that Marchand's biggest challenge will be relating to the young players just breaking through into the NHL.
Bruce Cassidy thinks Brad Marchand could be a great choice as the #NHLBruins next Captain ⁦

Regardless of whether or not the Bruins go with Marchand or someone else they will have plenty of veteran presence to collectively fill the skates of Patrice Bergeron.
