BREAKING: Alex Galchenyuk Officially Signs With Team
Alex Galchenyuk has signed in the KHL, ending speculation over his Hockey future after an incident with law enforcement that threatened to jeopardize the forward's career.
Galchenyuk finalizes deal in Russia
Alex Galchenyuk is returning to Hockey, signing with SKA St. Petersburg, a little over a month after being released by the Arizona Coyotes following a drunken violent incident involving Galchenyuk and Police that saw Galchenyuk's contract terminated by the Coyotes.

Galchenyuk was arrested in Scottsdale, AZ in July after a drunken hit-and-run, in which Galchenyuk made verbal threats towards officers, including racially insensitive remarks towards an African-American Officer, as well as threats of violence against the arresting officers at the scene.
Galchenyuk was arrested 8 Days after signing a one-year, two-way deal with Arizona. The team later placed Galchenyuk on Waivers to which he cleared.
Galchenyuk put out two statements, one to the Coyotes, and another to Scottsdale PD, apologizing for his actions, and confirming that he would be seeking treatment from the NHLPA Player Assistance Program.
Galchenyuk pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge over the incident, with 5 related charges dropped against the Forward. He was sentenced to 30 days in prison, with 27 of those being reduced due to time served.
SKA are one of Russia's top teams, being 1st in the KHL in Points last season, before losing the Western Conference finals to eventual Champions CSKA Moscow.
