The London Knights of the OHL will be without Landon Sim for five games as the forward was slapped with a suspension for profane language.

The St. Louis Blues prospect and son of former NHLer Jon Sim used language that typically wouldn't get you suspended. It has caused an unbelievable amount of backlash considering what the sport of hockey was like just five years ago.
Hockey Fights took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice their disgust with the OHL making this decision.
Fans also replied calling the suspension soft and ridiculous. There were other really interesting replies.
It is actually hilarious to see that the Ontario Hockey League is setting the standard with such a stiff punishment right before the London Knights are set to compete for the Memorial Cup.
It is important to treat your opponents with fairness, respect, and dignity as everyone deserves. The only exception is hockey is hockey. The game is tense, physical, hard-hitting and full of chirps.
While the word used isn't a great example of chirping in hockey, it's a joke that the OHL is suspending players for more time than an intentional hit to the head and more.
You have to wonder what standard the league is attempting to set with this lengthy suspension.
