Even while facing his diagnosis, Lewis' unwavering determination to play hockey remained strong until the very end.
The Jets shared on Sunday:
"After his diagnosis last summer, he was determined to return for his third season. Not only did he return, but played while undergoing treatment. Lewey's strength and willingness was an inspiration to the team and he showed up to support his teammates at every opportunity."
Our deepest condolences go out to the friends and family of this extraordinary young man who demonstrated such perseverance. Rest in peace, Braydin Lewis.
