Trouba And Meier Share A Hug Despite Massive Hit Before Final Buzzer in Game 7
The biggest (legal) hit of the playoffs thus far took place mere minutes before the series' final buzzer. Timo Meier, the player on the receiving end of the hit, displayed nothing but respect for Rangers captain Jacob Trouba during the subsequent handshake line.

One of the best traditions in playoff hockey is the handshake line. It reinforces the idea that we are all hockey fans before our individual team loyalties and allows players to send each other off to the off-season with respect.

It would be understandable if there were some hesitance following a hit to the head just 13 minutes before the handshake line. However, Timo Meier and Jacob Trouba shared a heartfelt hug, with Meier wishing Trouba a great vacation.
A Testament to Respect Between Players
The display of respect between the two players is truly incredible. Evidently, Meier is not too shaken up, as the Devils will need him in round 2 of the playoffs.
