Despite this impressive feat by Stone, hockey is a competitive sport, and winning is the main priority, there is no sympathy on the ice, and Stone's injury, while tragic, makes him a big target during games.

A video has recently come to light on twitter. The video displays yesterdays game, in which the Oilers lost 6-4. Throughout the match, it's very obvious that the Oilers are trying to capitalize on Stone's injury to gain an advantage. The video can be seen below:
