Toronto Maple Leafs Rumoured To Be In Trade Talks With Canadian Team
Recent rumours have arisen that have the Toronto Maple Leafs in potential trade talks with this Canadian team.
Leafs and Oilers Linked in Trade Talks
According to rumours online, the Leafs are actively looking to bolster their defence, especially with the question mark around
Jake McCabe's health. John Klingberg hasn't played up to snuff, either, which makes the potential for Treliving to look for a defenseman all the more likely.
And this article did come out before Trellivan and the Leafs moved
Sam Lafferty to the canucks. They did hold trade discussions with the Edmonton Oilers about Desharnais. The 27-year-old right-hander shot defenseman is six foot six and plays with an edge. Two things Treliving absolutely loves So far, in four appearances this season, Desharnais hasn't recorded a point and has seen some significant time killing penalties.

Desharnais was linked to the Leafs earlier this year in exchange for Lafferty, who the Leafs moved anyway. Now, they could be engaging in the idea of going after Desharnais again.
We all are upset at the Oilers bottom six. What makes it more frustrating is that the Leafs were giving Sam Lafferty to Edmonton for a pick and Desharnais. The Oilers rejected the trade because they think 27 year-old Vinny Desharnais still has some untapped potential. What a joke
Desharnais Would Be A Good Fit For Toronto
The media is usually all over Toronto for wanting them to add another solid defenseman to their roster when usually their playoff struggles have been more an issue of offence. However, the current circumstances are a bit different and may warrant a good look at a stay-at-home d-man.
Desharnais is a big, tough defenseman sitting at 6 foot 7, 226 pounds. While he has yet to record a point this year, he has spent a lot of time killing penalties for Edmonton, something that the Leafs could use.
Do you think the Leafs could go for a trade for Desharnais?
