Johnny Gaudreau's wife Meredith releases first public statement since tragedy

Johnny Gaudreau's wife, Meredith, released her first public statement since the tragedy that took her husband's life on Thursday night.
The Columbus Blue Jackets forward passed away at 31 years old after being hit by a drunk driver who made a dangerous maneuver.
What makes this tragedy even more heartbreaking is knowing that the brothers were supposed to be groomsmen at their sister's wedding on Friday.

Johnny's passing will leave a gigantic hole in the life of his wife, Meredith, as well as their two children, Noa and Johnny.
Meredith shared a post on Instagram, expressing her grief with many pictures of Johnny's life and a heartfelt message.
"Thank you for the best years of my life. Despite losing you, I am still the luckiest girl in the world to have been yours. I love you so so much. You were perfect. Some days it felt too good to be true. I love every single thing about you. You are my forever and I can't wait to be with you again. I love you so much forever and ever"
Once again, our thoughts are with the Gaudreau family during these difficult times.
