The Maple Leafs have not gotten any luck on the injury front this year. Now they are down another key player as Joseph Woll left tonight's game early with an injury.
Keefe Confirms Woll Will Be Out For Some Time
Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe could not provide a very detailed update on Woll's status after the game because the team does not even know all the details yet. However, he could confirm that he will at least miss 'some time' which is a sign that the injury may be serious.
Sheldon Keefe says Joseph Woll «will miss some time for sure». The extent of which will be known when they get home.
Keefe went on to discuss how important Woll has been to the team this season.

Woll has essentially taken over the starting goaltender duties in Toronto this season and he's been very solid despite lackluster defense in front of him. If he is out for a significant period of time it would be a major blow to the team. Woll proved as recently as today just how good he can be as he was a major part of the reason the team won, as Keefe noted.
The team will now have to rely on Martin Jones to start the majority of games as he is essentially the only healthy goalie the team has. If the team later finds out that Woll will be out for a significant period of time, look for the team to potentially make a move to acquire a new netminder.
