News has just come in that two time Stanley Cup champion Carl Hagelin has retired. Hagelin most recently played in 2022.
Hagelin Rides Off Into The Sunset After Successful Career
Carl Hagelin is retiring from hockey after 713 games played in the NHL. In that time Hagelin finished with 296 points and 110 goals. Unfortunately Hagelin is retiring due to an eye injury sustained during the 2021-22 season.

Hagelin was considered a Swiss army knife-type player. He was able to fit in anywhere throughout a lineup and contribute to a teams success.
Hagelin was fortunate enough to win the Stanley Cup two times in his career. The first was in 2016 with the Pittsburgh Penguins after being traded there partway through the season. He also won the Cup with the Penguins the next season. Hagelin was crucial to the Penguins' first cup run providing 16 points in 24 playoff games with the team.
