Alex Ovechkin Takes a Shot at The Controversial Dominik Hasek
Legendary Russian Alexander Ovechkin has taken plenty of criticism over his career, and in recent times, plenty of it has come from one place: Dominik Hasek. Now, the Great 8 has fired back.

This rivalry started with Hasek taking shots at Ovechkin and his support for Russian President Vladimir Putin, and it's safe to say the iconic goaltender didn't hold back.

Hasek has just echoed the sentiments that many others have had over the past year, but now, he's caught the attention of Ovechkin.
Fighting back
Unsurprisingly, given what we've seen from Ovechkin over his career, these comments have left him completely unmoved, as his reaction was exactly what you'd expect.
I'm not very interested in his statements, he told Russian news site Izvestia of Hasek's harsh assessment. Of course, I know him as a good goalkeeper in my time.
Ovechkin has unsurprisingly shown support for the NHL's decision to not ban Russian players from the league, and with such passion from both sides, this may not be the end of this story.
