As most of you know, the last time the Detroit Red Wings met the Vancouver Canucks controversy sparked after Walman's Griddy celebration on his winning penalty shot.

They met again last night for the first time since, and the game did not disappoint.
Some fans of the Canucks were displeased with the celebration, deeming it discourteous. In response, during last night's game where Vancouver led Detroit 4-1, Nikita Zadorov, chose to flip the script. Amid an exchange with Walman, which was interrupted by the officials, Zadorov, while moving away, imitated Walman's griddy dance as a form of mockery.
Incidents like these are the seeds from which great rivalries grow, stirring up the kind of buzz that only amplifies the game's appeal. The spotlight has been intensely focused on goal celebrations across the NHL, particularly in light of the recent drama that unfolded. The scene where Ridly Greig of the Ottawa Senators made a bold statement by slapping the puck into an empty net during their triumph over the Toronto Maple Leafs has been a major talking point.
Morgan Rielly's response, a sharp crosscheck to Greig's head, not only ignited controversy but also earned Rielly a stint on the sidelines with a five-game suspension. These moments, charged with emotion and consequence, are what keep fans on the edge of their seats, debating and dissecting every play.
