The Vancouver Canucks are apparently interested in signing the free agent Daniel Sprong, according to a new report.
While July can be a long month for hockey fans, we saw plenty of action when the free agent market opened and now, it looks like more signatures could be coming.
Indeed, the reporter Rick Dhaliwal posted on X that the Vancouver Canucks are interested in signing Daniel Sprong.
Sprong, 27, is coming out of a 43-point season with the Detroit Red Wings. In his career, he took part in 344 NHL games with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Anaheim Ducks, Washington Capitals, Seattle Kraken and the Red Wings.

"F Daniel Sprong is still available.
Sources say Canucks have interest."
Sprong is a bottom-six forward that would provide a lot of depth to the Vancouver Canucks lineup as they look to bounce back from their tough loss in the Stanley Cup playoffs at the hands of the Edmonton Oilers in the second round.
Any team looking to win a Stanley Cup must go after such players. As we saw in the past years, teams with superstars don't necessarily win; it's teams with depth and a lot of talent across the lineup that end up hoisting the Cup most of the time.
