After the Vancouver Canucks announced that the NHL veteran Phil Kessel would train in their facilities in Abbotsford yesterday, new evidence came out that could make his return to the NHL closer than ever.

Kessel was seen on the ice with the Abbotsford Canucks wearing their training uniform.

This could mean that the Canucks are interested in signing Kessel, but want to see if he can still play well by watching him train with their AHL affiliate team.
If he shows that he can still perform at 36 years old, a contract announcement could be made soon.
