William Nylander returns to Toronto early, ready for a big season with the Maple Leafs
Toronto Maple Leafs superstar William Nylander, as he does every summer, spent his off-season traveling, training, and catching up with family and friends back home in Sweden.
He tied his career high with 40 goals and setting a new personal best with 98 points while playing in all 82 regular-season games. Nylander was on fire last season, scoring 15 of his 40 goals from the mid-range zone, putting him in the 98th percentile league-wide.
He also showed off his powerful shot in with his fastest dhot by a Leaf all season. clocking in at 96.51 mph during a game against the Vancouver Canucks on November 11, 2023.

Nylander focused on staying in top shape. His commitment to his conditioning over the offseason should help ease his transition to training camp. The 28-year-old even returned to Toronto earlier than expected, and he's already making waves.
