Shocking Maple Leafs Chant breaks out at Boston-Tampa Bay matchup

The Maple Leafs have some of the biggest rivalries in NHL history, and unsurprisingly, that manifests itself at the most interesting of times.

An Original Six team, the Toronto Maple Leafs have one of the most dedicated fan bases in the NHL, but with that and the huge media market unsurprisingly comes plenty of haters. Those haters were out in full force as of late, but it wasn't at a Maple Leafs road game, in fact, it was at a game between two of their biggest modern rivals.







It's unclear exactly what brought on the chance, but given what we've seen on the ice over the past few years between these teams, it's clear that the hatred and the rivalry is still in full force. With the playoffs upcoming, if any of these three teams want to make a push for the Stanley Cup Finals, they'll likely need to go through Toronto, and if the season ended today, it would be Boston to match up with the Leafs.

Toronto may have ended their 20 season playoff series winless streak last season, but they've still got plenty of questions left to answer, so we will wait and see if they are fueled by this type of hatred in 2023-24.
