The Toronto Maple Leafs head into Philadelphia on Thursday, likely without Mitch Marner, but now comments from Sheldon Keefe have raised major concerns about the star winger.

Sheldon Keefe makes cryptic comment on Mitch Marner

After missing practice due to an injury sustained over the weekend against the Boston Bruins, many believed Mitch Marner would be back on Saturday, but that may not be the case after all.
When asked about No. 16, this is what Sheldon Keefe had to say;
"No update on Mitchell. He didn't skate today, so read into that what you will" - Keefe on Marner

This could simply be a case of Keefe keeping the information he's got close to his chest, or he could simply be messing with the media, but with the playoffs right around the corner, those comments could raise concerns for Maple Leafs fans.
In his absence, Calle Jarnkrok has moved to the top line, and while he's a serviceable player, if the Maple Leafs are to make a run at the Stanley Cup, they need the duo of Matthews and Marner to be healthy and firing on all cylinders.
In 62 games played this season, Marner has tallied 25 goals and 76 points, with his usual level of flare and consistency, but if he's out for a long time, Maple Leafs fans certainly have a reason to be worried.
