Rumours circulating on Friday suggests that Marc Savard could join newly hired Craig Berube behind the Toronto Maple Leafs bench next season.

After firing former head coach Sheldon Keefe and replacing him, rumours have been circulating about other potential changes within the organization, including potentially adding Savard as an assistant to Berube, who was hired Friday by the Leafs.
Savard played over 800 NHL games, tallying an impressive 706 points, including almost 500 assists.
Savard spent the 2023-2024 NHL season as an assistant coach and Powerplay coach of the Calgary Flames, who ranked 26th in the NHL with a measly 17.9% efficiency rating.
Although Savard was a skilled player in his time on the ice, that talent may not translate into coaching a Powerplay, and with Guy Boucher's Powerplay numbers coming in at 7th in the NHL last season, bringing Savard in could result in struggles.
Berube has choices to make, and bringing in Marc Savard may cause a complete shift in one of the Maple Leafs biggest strengths.
