Friedman Believes the Leafs and Nylander Will Announce Deal on Monday
It's no secret that both the Toronto Maple Leafs organization and
William Nylander want to make a deal together.
A recent report by Elliotte Friedman confirmed that an announcement could be made as soon as Monday.

Nylander Reveals a Bit Too Much During an Interview
Last night, when the star player was asked if he wanted to stay in Toronto, he couldn't have expressed his wishes clearer:
William Nylander tonight on the idea of signing long-term:
"That would be a dream to stay here. I mean, to play for such an organization. And I call Toronto home. So I think that'd be a very special feeling."
Then, the following happened:
"Are you close to a deal?
Nylander: «We'll see» smiles."
Players aren't supposed to comment on ongoing negotiations, but his silence, with his smile, are talking a lot. Amid all these rumors, it's possible that Nylander knows that the deal is happening soon, but couldn't talk about it just yet.
All eyes will be turned to Toronto tomorrow. People have been talking about Nylander's deal for a long time now, and if it happens now, it would be a major indicator of the Leafs' future.
