At a recent practice ahead of their Friday pre-season battle, the Leafs reportedly moved Nylander back to the wing, as he was spotted skating alongside John Tavares.

However, it appears that it won't be a permanent move, as it was a very wise move by Coach Sheldon Keefe to integrate one of their rising stars into the lineup some more.

The 19-year old Fraser Minten has impressed many in Toronto this summer, and the fact that they're now getting him more looks in practice down the middle could be a very good sign of things to come.
The young center tallied 122 points over his past two seasons with the Kamloops Blazers before being taken in the second-round by Toronto in the 2022 NHL Draft, and now, it appears he's making a genuine push for the Leafs roster in 2023-24.
