The Toronto Maple Leafs made some good moves this summer, but adding veteran enforcer Ryan Reaves on a three-year deal worth over $4 million was certainly an example of a questionable move.
It was clear to anyone that has watched Reaves over the past few years, but beyond the toughness aspect he brings, he can often be slow and behind the play, causing the other players on his line to struggle due to this.
Now, after a poor performance against Dallas, Maple Leafs fans are calling it out, and it's safe to say that unless something changes, Reaves could potentially find his minutes reduced, or even cut entirely.

Continued negative attention
This all comes after he called out Blackhawks forward Corey Perry, for which he also got called out given the enormous gap between his play and Perry's this season.
Ultimately, new GM Brad Treliving made some solid moves by landing Max Domi and Tyler Bertuzzi, but Reaves on a three-year deal that takes him until he is beyond 40 wasn't a good move, and unless things change, it could get very ugly in Toronto.
