The NHL, like all professional sports have plenty of opportunities away from the ice, and it now appears that a young Maple Leafs forward is taking advantage of that.
According to a report,
Matthew Knies, a talented young prospect has signed with Warroad Hockey, a company with strong ties to Minnesota started by Washington Capitals star
T.J. Oshie.

Warroad Hockey is on the cutting edge of technology with hockey equipment, focusing on providing players an extra level of safety, and it appears they're investing in Knies early.
While Knies has just played in 3 regular season games with Toronto, he stepped up in a big way in the playoffs, and at just 20-years old, his future with the Maple Leafs is incredibly bright.
While Warroad isn't at the level of other companies like CCM, Sherwood or Bauer, their future is very bright with their cutting edge technology, and if Knies can develop as a player, they'll no doubt bring in plenty more players.
