Leafs Fans Taunt Kyle Dubas In Return To Toronto As The Penguins Suffer An Embarrassing Defeat
The Toronto Maple Leafs famously fired Kyle Dubas over the summer. The former Leafs GM then went on to take on the same role for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Tonight the team visited Toronto for the first time this season and Leafs fans let Dubas know how they feel about him.
Leafs Fans Taunt Dubas With Leafs Dominating Penguins
The game could not have gone much better for the Leafs. They scored early, they scored often, and they did not give the Penguins anything. Late in the 3rd period, Leafs fans starting chanting, "Dubas! Dubas," in a taunting manner.

At that point in the game the score was 6-0. The Leafs would ultimately go on to win 7-0, making the chorus of cheers and taunts from the crowd even more enthusiastic. While the team was without
Auston Matthews, other plays stepped up in a big way to make this win possible.
Knies Completes First Career Gordie Howe hat Trick
Among the story lines to come from this game is
Matthew Knies. The Leafs rookie has been very steady this year and tonight he had a huge impact as he returned to the lineup following a spell on the flu. He quickly gave the Leafs the lead on his first shift of the game.
On the very next shift, he went into beast mode, picking a fight with
John Ludvig.
Before too long, Knies would add a very nice assist on a drop pass to
Max Domi who deked around
Tristan Jarry for his second goal as a Leaf.
Knies was not the only Leaf who had a great night. Max Domi also recorded three points and goaltender Martin Jones recorded a 39-save shutout for his first as a Leaf, extending his record to 3-0 with the team.
Martin Jones posts a 39-save shutout in a 7-0 Leafs victory over the Penguins 👏
The Leafs will look to repeat this performance on Tuesday when they host the New York Rangers.
