Friedman Drops a Bombshell and Reveals When William Nylander Will Sign His Monster Contract
The talk of Toronto when it comes to their future roster centers on one big question mark, and that is if they will be able to secure William Nylander. Now, Elliotte Friedman has revealed if that is a possibility, and when it might go down.
Friedman Reveals Nylander Could Sign as Early as this Week
William Nylander is having himself a career year, and right when it counts, as his next contract is expected to be a doozy. So big, in fact, that a lot of analysts were unsure if the Leafs could afford him, and that they wouldn't be able to get a deal done this year.
Now, it appears that isn't the case, as Elliotte Friedman has revealed that Brad Treliving and the Toronto Maple Leafs could sign Nylander's extension as early as this week.

Further to the report from Kypreos earlier, Friedman says he thinks a Nylander extension could happen as early as this week.
Nylander With Another Stellar Night Ahead of a Potential Extension
Nylander certainly isn't letting off the gas when it comes to production as his contract extension reportedly nears. He scored twice last night against the LA Kings to secure 50 points on the season thus far.
William Nylander is on pace for 45 goals and 117 points this season.
It's clear that Nylander and his camp are working toward an extension, and that he wants to stay in Toronto. It is also becoming clear that he is worth the pretty penny that he is demanding, as he continues his incredible season. Leaf fans will be hopeful that this production continues for the rest of the year after a deal is done, and for the entirety of the term of his expected contract.
