While Erik Kallgren is no longer with the Maple Leafs, the Swedish netminder is still finding ways to help them out. Now a member of the Devils organization, Kallgren is still doing the Leafs favors.
Kallgren Shaken Up in Toronto
Kallgren and the Utica Comets took on his former team, the Toronto Marlies, yesterday. While Kallgren probably hoped for a solid game against his former teammates, things didn't go quite as planned.

Erik Kallgren would probably like this one back
Kallgren bobbled a routine play, letting in a goal just 30 seconds into the first period, giving the Marlies an early advantage. This would persist throughout the rest of the game, and Toronto would go on to win 5-2.
While Kallgren's time in Toronto is behind him, one can't help but wonder what things would look like had his stint in the NHL been more impressive.
Kallgren failed to impress the Leafs' management throughout his 24 NHL games across two seasons and was cut loose this offseason in favor of
Joseph Woll. Had Kallgren performed better on the big stage, perhaps we'd see him on the Leafs roster right now over the likes of Woll.
While we may never know what could've been, we're sure Kallgren would like to make his NHL return with New Jersey.
